Dr. Campos has gained his
B.Sc. from the Federal University of Ceara,1976., and
Ph.D. Plant Biochemistry, University of Durham, 1989. He
is professor of plant molecular biology with the Federal
University of Ceara, Fortaleza, Brazil.
Professor Campos was
visiting scientist with the University Kiel, Germany,
1988-1990, and with the Institute of Plant science, ETH
Zurich, Switzerland from 1990 to 1992. His research is
focused in the development of regeneration and genetic
transformation systems for cassava.
