Dr. Kasem Zaki Ahmed,
graduated from Minia University and PhD in Plant Genetics
(Biotechnology) from the Hungarian Academy of Science,
Hungary, in 1993. His university career started at the
Faculty of Agriculture, Minia University, Egypt. Now a
full Professor with the same faculty. He serves as a
director of Minia Center for Genetic Engineering and
Biotechnology at Minia University. As a researcher, Dr.
Ahmed has published a total of 55 peer reviewed in
renomed European journals. He received several research
prizes and awards..
Dr. Ahmed was the leading founder of Minia Center for
Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology. Fac. Agric., Minia
Univ., El-Minia, Egypt.
Recently ,he was elected President of the African Crop
Science Society (2007-2009).
