Dr. Nada Babiker Hamza holds a
Ph.d degree in Population Molecular Genetics, from the
University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences,
BOKU, Vienna, Austria. She is an assistant research
professor at the Commission for Biotechnology & Genetic
Engineering. She teaches plant Biotechnology (Both M.Sc.&
B.Sc .courses) at the Sudan University of Science &
Technology, and has been a visiting researcher at
University of Bergen (Norway), University of Brussels (Belgium).
Dr. Hamza is currently the
head of Molecular Biology Department, Commission for
Biotechnology & Genetic Engineering, NCR. She had
organized several national and international activities
and trainings in the application of molecular markers. Her
primary research interests are focused on Molecular
Genetics, Biodiversity & Molecular Ecology, and
Conservation Genetics. She is supervising several B.Sc,
M.Sc research projects, and co-supervising Ph.d. Students
from several universities in Sudan.
